Friday Night Reception: “Inspired Toward Excellence”

New York City Association for the Education of Young Children believes in the importance of celebrating excellence and honors individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the field of early care and education. This year our focus is to honor those whose efforts have significantly raised the standard of care and education for New York City’s youngest children.

As part of the NYCAEYC 2012 Conference, the Friday night reception, “Inspired Toward Excellence,” will honor Maria Benejan, New York City’s associate commissioner for Program Development at the Administration for Children’s Services—Division of Child Care and Head Start.  The reception will also honor newly accredited programs located within the city and a NYCAEYC member who, through a nomination process, will receive the NYCAEYC Service to the Field Honor. Congratulations to Ann Kjellberg, 2012 Service to the Field Honoree.

The reception will take place at ACA Gallery from 6:30 to 8:00pm and will feature hor d’ouevres and the art of Faith Ringgold, our Conference 2012 Keynote Speaker.
